Campus Crime Stoppers pays students cash for crime tips
August 29, 2016 - | Responsible Citizens | New Caney ISD has launched a Campus Crime Stoppers program so that students, staff and the community can report anonymously any criminal activity on campuses and receive a cash reward.
Students can report crimes three ways: by calling 1-800-392-STOP (7867); downloading the App “P3 Tips” and selecting Montgomery County; and online by visiting www.montgomerycountycrimestoppers.org.
Callers to the program will remain anonymous and be eligible for a cash reward.
The Campus Crime Stoppers program is for reporting incidents such as possession of drugs, weapons, or other criminal activity. The district will still use its web-based School Safety Reporting program to receive reports of bullying, harassment and other concerns for students and parents.
