Now that we are entering the
flu season, there is an increase in communicable viruses at school. Here
are some helpful hints to keep your children from becoming ill. Since most
students get ill from each other, it is best to stay healthy with proper hand
washing and hygiene.
Remind your child to:
1. Wash hands often for at least 30 seconds with soap and water.
2. Wash hands after using the restroom.
3. Wash hands after coughing or sneezing.
4. Do not drink or eat after other people.
5. Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing. REMEMBER: Your child must stay home if he/she is running
a fever of 100 degrees or more or is vomiting. Your child must be fever free
with no vomiting for 24 hours before returning to school.
If you have any questions or concerns please contact
the school nurse.
