Mission
Statement
Our philosophy is to educate students
to think and act responsibly as productive citizens and life-long
learners in an ever-changing global society.
Goals
It is expected
that students will:

understanding and identification of basic historical issues,
events, and people.
- Understand and apply the rights,
privileges, and responsibilities of citizenship.
- Be aware of current events at
local, state, national, and global levels.
- Recognize the impact that individuals
can make on their local, state, national, and world society.
- Understand our environment and
how our interaction with the environment affects us now and in
the future.
- Apply knowledge of the past to
comprehend and solve current and future problems.
- Understand the importance of
actively participating in the democratic process.
- Understand how technology affects
the development and changes of society.
- Develop an understanding of the
relationships between people, places, and events in a culturally
diverse world.
- Develop an understanding of the
roles of economic systems in world society, particularly in the
United States.
