    Elementary Attendance Zone Changes

December 13, 2016 | The New Caney ISD Board of Trustees approved a change in the elementary school boundaries in order to plan for the opening of Dogwood Elementary and to balance out the enrollment at other campuses.

The district’s newest campus, Dogwood Elementary School, replaces Aikin Elementary and is being built on the same site in Roman Forest. Dogwood Elementary is expected to be completed by August 2017.

Approximately 835 students will be affected by the boundary changes: 631 students from Tavola Elementary will move to Dogwood Elementary; 115 students from New Caney Elementary will move to Tavola Elementary; 89 students from Oakley Elementary will move to Tavola.

Letters were sent to parents of students affected by the attendance zone changes in January 2017.
