Superintendent's Message

It is an honor to serve a District that is focused on each individual child and that is committed to the success of all children. In New Caney, we believe that our teachers and staff are the greatest in the state of Texas. We are pleased to serve the children of our community and remain committed to providing the very best educational opportunities for all of our students.

Our community has been generous in its support of our schools. Our student population has increased dramatically over the last several years, and the patrons of our District have remained focused on meeting the needs of the children with updated, as well as new, facilities. In May 2012, voters of New Caney ISD overwhelmingly supported a $97.5 million bond referendum that pays for the construction of new schools and facilities, renovations and upgrades to existing campuses, and land acquisition. We are currently working with architects on the first phase of projects, and hope to get started on some of the projects in November.

We are committed to meeting the needs of a growing population of students without losing sight of our goals. Academic excellence and a viable extra-curricular program are signature cornerstones of the New Caney Independent School District. We are working hard to build well-rounded, creative and curious life-long learners through innovative initiatives that provide excellent learning opportunities for our students. We are establishing a foundation for our children that will have an impact on future generations. Our programmatic goals are child-centered and research-based. We are a high performing District that never loses focus on the individual student. Our District is one of the largest "Recognized" districts in the state; but we aren't satisfied with our achievements of the past. We remain committed to high expectations and continuous improvement for each of our students.

Thank you for visiting our website and I look forward to meeting you soon!
Mr. Kenn Franklin, Superintendent
